Mission Trip to Matamoros 2012

We are taking a family mission trip to Matamoros, Mexico August 19-23, 2012.  The cost will be $200 per person. We want to serve MCH in three ways: Hosting a Sports Camp, Dental Care and Construction.

There will be a mandatory participant meeting Sunday, July 29th, upstairs of the Conference Center at 12:30pm, following the second worship gathering.

Safety::

Traveling to Mexico has its risks.  We want all our participants to be fully aware of these possible risks, necessary documentation to cross into Mexico and guidelines for safe conduct while in Matamoros Mexico.  We have sent a team to investigate the particular risk in Matamoros and feel it is relatively safe.  We are staying at the Children’s Home which on the outskirts of town.  It is a fully enclosed compound. We feel our greatest risk is during travel to and from the Children’s Home and the border crossing.  However, we will only cross during the day, all together and with a Children’s Home representative.   This greatly reduces our risk.  Please read the below links so you can make fully informed decisions.
